Montana State University started out as
The Montana College of Agriculture and
Mechanic Arts. The two buildings in the photo
were the main instructional and administrative
structures at the college. The Chemistry Building
seen to the right of main hall burned down in 1916,
so the photo was taken prior to 1916.
